Works in Progress: Bridges Along the Union Canal, Scotland.
Working from photo references during a thrilling Narrowboat holiday, based in Falkirk, Scotland in 2023.
Wild in the Woods
I was honored to accept the invitation to judge Lancaster County Art Association’s “Wild in the Woods” Summer exhibit, July 21-August 8, 2024, that featured submissions of Professional, Non-Professional, and Children’s categories. It was a nice variety of works, which included 3D creations made from wood, glass and found objects, to 2D works of paintings, drawings and collage. Connecting to and choosing pieces that articulate the theme can be challenging, because each piece is unique unto that artist. I loved investigating each artist’s concept and process of the theme. Bravo!
Expanding Vistas: June 14, 2024 Reception
Grateful beyond words for The Suzanne H. Gallery at Lebanon Valley College, to include my painting, “Railroad Crossing”, 1996, from the Lebanon Valley College Fine Art Collection, in their American landscape exhibit, “Expanding Vistas”. A wonderfully curated exhibit that also included works from the Vesell Family Collection of 19th Century paintings. https://www.lvc.edu/events/expanding-vistas-exhibit-opening/
RE-EMERGENCE: Recent Landscape Paintings.
Welcome! Im so excited to present a new body of work a couple years in the making - it’s been a while! After almost 20 years since owning Troupe & Company Fine Art Gallery, where we represented local, national and international artists, Im thrilled to announce the return to my creative roots and pursue my passion for art! So it seems fitting to “re-emerge” on Prince Street, (where the gallery was located), in downtown Lancaster, PA. After completing a painting commissions, I felt inspired and motivated to paint again. I realized the creative process and solitary contemplation was missing from my life. I had much more to say and do.
